As previously reported, Lenovo is set to launch a new gaming tablet shortly. This tablet looks geared to be a update to the Legion Y700 (2025) that debuted last year, and has now been teased by the company.
As shared on Weibo, the new Lenovo Legion tablet will not sport the same design as the Legion Y700 (2025). While there's only so much that can be changed in a tablet's design, the upcoming tablet ditches the distinct dual-camera design on the Y700 (2025) for what appears to be a single-rear camera. The secondary rear lens on the Y700 (2025) was a 2 MP macro camera, so losing that won't be much of a loss.
Design aside, the new gaming tablet will apparently be marketed for its AI capabilities, with Lenovo also scheduling an AI-focused conference to hold on May 7. The new tablet could make its debut at that event, or sometime later in May. Spec-wise, the new Legion Y700 tablet will retain the 8.8-inch 165 Hz LCD of the Y700 (2025), but will come equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on last year's model. It's also tipped to feature a battery in the 7000 mAh range, an upgrade on the Y700 (2025)'s 6550 mAh unit.
