Lenovo has confirmed that its latest gaming tablet will be graced with a new 8.8-inch 165Hz 3K display - to be supplied by TCL CSOT, according to the veteran leaker Digital Chat Station.
The tipster also now asserts that the device will retain the popular 16:10 aspect ratio so as best to rival the iPad Mini.
It might also be lighter and thinner than its 350 gram/7.8-millimeter predecessor - although that rumor may not bode well for its battery life.
Lenovo is now taking reservations for the latest iteration of its Legion Y700 in China, although its formal launch is now scheduled for May 8, 2025.
It is tipped to launch internationally as the Legion Tab Gen 4 thereafter with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC normally reserved for flagship Android smartphones.
In any case, it is officially slated to launch with the same 8.8-inch display form-factor as its Tab Gen 3 predecessor (currently available for the discounted price of €519.99 on Amazon in Europe), backed to ensure it fits in the user's pocket (albeit most likely that of their jacket).
