Lenovo has slashed the price of its powerful gaming Android tablet, Legion Tab Gen 3. For a limited time, you can grab it for $130 off its regular price. The tablet boasts powerful internals, including a 165Hz display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and superfast 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.

Lenovo’s Legion Tab Gen 3 is back on sale, dropping to $420 from its usual $550. That’s one of the lowest prices we’ve seen for Lenovo’s compact Android gaming tablet, and one that makes it a great alternative to the iPad Mini if you’re after something a bit more flexible and want to stay in the Android ecosystem.

The Legion Tab Gen 3 packs the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip paired with generous 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. On paper, it’s a small gaming tablet with big ambitions. Its 8.8-inch 2560 x 1600 LTPS display boasts a 165Hz refresh rate, which is overkill for spreadsheets but perfect for games like Genshin Impact or Call of Duty: Mobile. Lenovo also added a larger vapor chamber and a 3D heat dissipation system to help sustain performance without throttling, a feature not often seen in devices of this size. Check out our full review of the Legion Tab Gen 3 for an in-depth look at its gaming and everyday performance.

It’s also quite versatile, thanks to support for stylus input and wireless keyboards, and offers dual USB-C ports (including one with DisplayPort output). Additionally, it has a desktop mode that turns Android into a more traditional windowed interface. Hook it up to an external monitor, and it starts to feel less like a compact tablet and more like a travel-friendly workstation.

Battery life should hold up too as you're getting a sizeable 6,550mAh cell with 65W fast charging. With Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Dolby Atmos speakers. Lenovo ships it with Android 14, which is already two versions behind, but promises three years of OS updates to keep things reasonably current.

There’s no fingerprint reader or 5G connectivity, and the 8MP fixed-focus front camera is quite average, but at this price, the Legion Tab Gen 3 still punches well above its weight for the overall value it offers. It’s a rare Android tablet that feels just as comfortable gaming on the couch as it does handling work on the go, and for $420, that’s a compelling option.
