Casio has announced two special edition Pro Trek watches for the 30th anniversary of its renowned outdoor gear line - the PRW-61ANS-3 and the PRG-340ANS-3. These models mark three whole decades of the Pro Trek line, especially its "One with Nature" philosophy.
The PRW-61ANS-3 is headlining the release as the first analog-digital Pro Trek with a vapor deposition dial finish. This process gives the watch a shimmering sunlight effect, similar to forest-dappled light. Both models feature prominent gold accents - appearing on the bezel, metallic keeper, and buttons - contrasting with their deep green resin cases and bands.
The packaging, band, and caseback display a timeline of key model releases since 1995. Historical references - such as the original DPX-500 and pivotal models like the PAG-40 and PRW-1300 - are hot-stamped in gold onto the strap and box interior. The case back sports a "30th Anniversary" emblem as well.
The PRW-61ANS-3 includes Casio’s trusted Triple Sensor suite (compass, barometer, altimeter, thermometer), Multi Band 6 radio time-sync, solar charging, and water resistance to 100 meters. The PRG-340ANS-3, the second model in the duo, gets the classic full-digital outdoor Pro Trek display, also featuring solar power and the hallmark sensor functions. These anniversary models use bio-based resins for the case and band.
Both the PRW-61ANS-3 and PRG-340ANS-3 are expected to launch in November, with the PRW-61ANS-3 priced at ¥69,500 (~$451) and the PRG-340ANS-3 at ¥39,500 (~$256) (Japanese market pricing).
