Casio’s GMW-BZ5000D series - the full-metal G-Shock square with MIP LCD - is finally set for official unveiling on November 4, with Japan pre-orders starting midnight on November 5. As clarified in a new announcement (reposted by G-Shock Dream and Great G-Shock World), earlier dealer listings were premature, and only the Casio online store and official retailer network will offer authentic pre-orders from this date.
Three models are launching: the standard GMW-BZ5000D-1 (¥93,500), gold GMW-BZ5000GD-9 (¥102,300), and black GMW-BZ5000GD-1 (¥102,300). All models have already started appearing in some Japanese stores, and are generating substantial hype and a sharp increase in online search traffic for the BZ5000 line since mid-October.
This launch follows a months-long cycle of leaks. Initial community buzz began with MIP LCD rumors in June, then specification and pricing leaks in September, including details on the upgraded case, bracelet, and display. By October, retail channel information, early discounts, final pricing, and launch schedules had appeared online. The timeline was everything but confirmed at that point: November Japan launch, staggered international release slipping to early 2026, and partner shop exclusives for the black version.
Many Casio fans and collectors are already calling the GMW-BZ5000D "the G-Shock release of 2025". Nonetheless, persistent issues with Casio’s global launch communications have caused a fair amount of confusion. Understandably, regional leaks and unsynchronized launches frustrate fans more than they build hype for new launches.
