Pre-orders are now open for Casio’s G-Shock GA-B2100DF series, a new eco-conscious pair of watches that extend the company’s partnership with the Charles Darwin Foundation to celebrate endangered wildlife on the Galápagos Islands. Available models include the red GA-B2100DF-4AJR, inspired by the Sally Lightfoot crab, and the black-and-yellow GA-B2100DF-1AJR, themed after the Galápagos albatross. Both are scheduled for a global launch starting in November 2025, priced at ¥28,050 (~$182) in Japan (tax included). Global pricing expected to mirror earlier releases near $170 depending on the region.
The cases and bands for the watches are constructed entirely from biomass plastic derived from resin, and each model comes in a special packaging that represents Galápagos conservation themes. The backs of the watches, as well as the boxes, have custom messages in both English and Spanish.
Additional design touches include terrain motifs of the Galápagos, crab- and bird-shaped markers, and animal icons positioned on the dial and bands. Both models are water-resistant up to 20 atmospheres (200 meters) and utilize Casio’s Carbon Core Guard structure for durability.
Beyond their eco focus, the GA-B2100DF watches have the full suite of G-Shock tech. Each features:
- Bluetooth connectivity for automatic time adjustment with a paired smartphone
- Tough Solar charging system for reliable battery performance
- Double LED (Super Illuminator) lighting, including white LED for enhanced visibility
- World time with support for 38 cities plus UTC and automatic daylight saving adjustments
- Stopwatch, countdown timer, five multi-function alarms, and full auto calendar
- Power-saving mode that prolongs operation to up to 18 months in power-saving state
More user-friendly features include easy clock setting via Casio’s app, quick access to world time in about 300 cities, reminder functions, and a handy phone finder capability. You can now pre-order them via the official product pages for the G-Shock Casio GA-B2100DF-4AJR and GA-B2100DF-1AJR.
