Casio has released its new MTPB145DC-3AV stainless-steel watch, with vintage 1980s styling. Priced at $110 in the US, this timepiece is a true throwback. It pairs a minimalist green dial with a classic case and steel band.
This model is part of Casio's latest retro lineup, which comes in several dial colors. Its appeal lies in its clean design and easy-to-read layout. The MTPB145DC-3AV uses a 40 × 35 × 7.4 mm brushed steel case and a sturdy one-touch three-fold clasp bracelet, which should fit most wrists comfortably thanks to band compatibility stretching from 150 to 205 mm.
You get a stainless steel build all around, topped with mineral glass for the dial and rated for 50 meters of water resistance - practical for daily wear. Despite its thin profile and lightweight (just 82 g), the battery life is estimated at three years on a standard SR621SW cell. Other features include analog timekeeping with three hands (hour, minute, second), a simple date display, and quartz accuracy within ±20 seconds per month.
Casio markets this release as bringing a "pure fashion statement" and classic 1980s color tones, as seen in promotional images set alongside vintage objects like typewriters. The brand is currently offering limited stock on its official website.
