As expected, November 1 proved to be extremely eventful for Casio launches. From the Pro Trek 30th anniversary launches to the anticipated GW-BX5600 models, the month is off to a strong start. A few weeks ago, leaks pertaining to a new lineup, dubbed the "Modern Industrial Series", showed up online, where images for 2 out of 4 models were very well-received by Casio fans. Now, all 4 models are officially listed on Casio Japan and can be pre-ordered.
The Modern Industrial Series consists of four new G-Shock releases: GM-2100M-1AJF, GM-5600M-1JF, GM-2100BM-1AJF, and GM-5600BM-1JF. All models feature an achromatic color scheme and metallic bezels with reinforced resin cases or bands, and are rated for 200 meters water resistance. This design has checkered metal bezels, inspired by industrial glass fiber-reinforced materials, and red accent rings for additional contrast.
The GM-2100M-1AJF and GM-2100BM-1AJF are octagonal analog-digital models sized at 49.3 × 44.4 × 11.8 mm, weighing 71g each, and using stainless steel bezels with resin bands. Their listed battery life is around three years. The digital GM-5600M-1JF and GM-5600BM-1JF are rectangular, sized 49.6 × 43.2 × 13.2 mm, with a slightly heavier build at 73g, and rated for five years battery life. All models use inorganic glass and are compatible with wrist sizes from 145 to 215mm.
Features across all variants include double LED illumination, world time (48 cities and UTC), full auto calendar, stopwatch, timer, five daily alarms (GM-2100s) or one multi-function alarm (GM-5600s), and a ±15 second monthly accuracy. The GM-2100BM-1AJF and -GM-5600BM-1JF also use black IP bezel finishing for a deeper matte effect. Prices range from ¥29,700-¥35,750 (~$193 to $232), with pre-orders now open and shipping scheduled for November 2025.
