Gamers looking for a powerful Android tablet in a compact size should check out Lenovo’s Legion Tab Gen 3. With a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and an 8.8-inch 165Hz display, it punches well above its weight. And thanks to Lenovo's ongoing sale, you can snag it for just $418, its lowest price yet.

The Legion Tab Gen 3 is a surprisingly powerful gaming tablet that punches well above its weight. While it’s primarily aimed at gaming enthusiasts, support for stylus, dual USB-C ports, and a dedicated desktop mode make it a pretty versatile offering. It was already a good value at $550, but for a limited time, you can grab this Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered tablet for even less.

Lenovo has marked down the Legion Tab Gen 3 by $132, bringing it down to just $418. That’s the lowest price we’ve seen, making Lenovo’s compact powerhouse an even better value than the iPad Mini (2024). To get the $418 price, use the coupon code TABLETSAVE at checkout. This will give you an additional $22 off on top of the $110 instant discount. The tablet originally launched in the US at $500, but Lenovo later bumped it to $550 due to tariff uncertainty.

A compact tablet that doesn't compromise on performance

The Lenovo Tab Gen 3 prides itself as a gaming tablet, featuring an 8.8-inch 2560 x 1600 LTPS LCD with a 165Hz refresh rate and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage (non-expandable). Lenovo has also equipped it with a 14% larger vapor chamber and a 3D heat dissipation structure for improved sustained performance, and dual USB-C ports with bypass charging support. The main 13MP camera is surprisingly good for a tablet, while the 8MP fixed-focus selfie shooter is just about serviceable. In our review, we noted that “the Legion Tab Gen 3 is a jack of all trades and offers a strong overall package—and not just for gamers,” citing its robust productivity features like dedicated desktop mode, optional stylus and keyboard support, and the ability to hook up the tablet to an external display or monitor via its USB 3.2 port.

The Tab Gen 3 packs a 6,550mAh battery with 65W fast charging, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Prospective buyers should note that there’s no fingerprint scanner or 5G support, and the tablet ships with rather outdated Android 14 (which is already two generations old). On the flip side, Lenovo promises 3 years of OS updates, so you should be good through Android 17 at least.
