Deal | 8-inch Lenovo tablet with 12GB RAM and 165Hz now discounted by 29%

Lenovo's Legion Tab series of tablets is not exactly cheap, especially for enthusiasts who have put an eye on the latest Gen 5 model. While the latest version currently retails for $849 at Lenovo's official online store, one of its predecessors has now fallen below the $400 mark and can be a much better deal for many users.

Specifically, the 256GB version of the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 is now on sale for just $387 at Lenovo, at least if bargain hunters apply the coupon code "EXTRASAVEAFF" during checkout. The official list price of this 8.8-inch Android tablet currently comes in at $550, so shoppers can save almost 30% or $163. Compared to the aforementioned Legion Tab Gen 5, this device is less than half the price.

Naturally, the older Lenovo tablet doesn't sport the latest processor, but the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 12GB RAM should still be more than fast enough for practically all usual Android apps including the vast majority of games. In any case, the 2.5K screen has a high 165Hz refresh rate, and the two USB-C ports can be used for the practical bypass charging.

Lenovo Legion Tab 3 with 2.5K display and no PWM

We thoroughly tested the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 back in April of 2025 and found a lot to like. For instance, we enjoyed the well-made chassis and quick processor that doesn't throttle too much. Connectivity is also a strong suit, while the 2.5K display with 165Hz is based on an LTPS panel and therefore doesn't utilize PWM dimming. Consequently, sensitive users don't have to deal with additional eye strain.

However, we would've liked to see better contrasts and a higher peak brightness, and the same applies to a fingerprint sensor. Lenovo could also improve its software update policy and add a 5G-capable configuration to the Legion Tab lineup. Nonetheless, the Legion Tab 3 can be a reasonable buying decision for Lenovo fans and Android users who are looking for a more compact 8-inch tablet for under $400.
