The Intel Core Ultra 5 226V-powered Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 laptop is currently witnessing a major $400 discount on Best Buy, bringing its price down to an all-time low. With 16 GB of memory, 512 GB of storage, and a beautiful 14-inch OLED display, the Yoga 7i sure does offer a lot of bang for the buck.

Bargain hunters on the lookout for a new mid-range portable laptop are almost certainly well-aware of Lenovo's offerings in the segment. The 14-inch Yoga 7i 2-in-1 stands as a particularly enticing option, powered by the Intel Core Ultra 226V "Lunar Lake" CPU. Currently available with a sizeable $400 discount on Best Buy, the Yoga 7i can now be bought for a lowest-ever price of just $649.

As mentioned, the Lenovo Yoga 7i convertible laptop is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V "Lunar Lake" CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores. As indicated by synthetic benchmarks, the Core Ultra 5 226V is roughly 12% faster than Apple's M2 SoC, which should more than enough to tackle the vast majority of moderately intensive workloads. The chip is paired with 16 GB of non-upgradeable LPDDR5X-8533 memory, which is disappointing. This specific variant offers 512 GB of solid-state storage housed in an M.2 slot.

The Yoga 7i 2-in-1's 14-inch OLED display boasts a resolution of 1920 x 1200, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Touchscreen support is present, as is support for the Yoga Pen (currently $70 on Amazon). Lenovo claims a 100% coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamut, which makes the laptop pretty decent for content consumption as well as creation. Of course, GPU-heavy workflows will suffer, since the Arc 130V iGPU is only powerful enough for lightweight tasks and low-end gaming.

That said, the vast majority of users who use their notebooks for basic everyday tasks and entertainment will most likely never find any room for complaint regarding the Lunar Lake chip's performance. A 120 Hz display would have definitely been well-appreciated, but at this price point, it can be forgiven. Other notable features include a decent 70 Wh battery, plenty of ports (dual Thunderbolt 4, microSD, USB-A, as well as HDMI 1.4b), WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a fingerprint reader. As always, interested customers are advised to be aware of the time-sensitive nature of deals.
