Gaming enthusiasts who keep up with the latest happenings in the gaming laptop segment will almost certainly have heard of the high-end offerings from Lenovo. The Legion Pro 7i is one such outstanding 16-inch gaming laptop, fitted with a beautiful 240 Hz OLED display and powerful silicon. Thanks to an ongoing sale at B&H Photo Video, the powerful gaming laptop can now be purchased for just $2,199.

The Legion Pro 7i gaming laptop is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU boasting 24 cores and 24 threads. In terms of raw performance, the CPU rivals the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX, at least in synthetic benchmarks. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU with 12 GB of GDDR7 VRAM takes care of graphics. Our detailed review of a slightly different variant indicates that both the CPU and GPU perform according to expectations, although the temperatures are undoubtedly on the toastier side. Thankfully, surface temperatures remain comfortable.

Our detailed review also reveals that we were extremely pleased with the gaming laptop's 240 Hz OLED display, which sports a resolution of 2560 x 1600. The 99.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut inspires confidence for professional creative work as well, and the fast 240 Hz refresh rate makes the gaming experience as good as it gets. RAM and storage requirements are taken care of by 32 GB of DDR5 memory and 2 TB of solid-state storage. Of course, the laptop is pretty hefty, as it trades portability for raw performance. 

Battery life is also pretty decent, although nothing quite to phone about, as is expected from a desktop-replacement gaming laptop. When set to the Balanced/iGPU mode, the Legion Pro 7i lasted around 5 hours and 23 minutes in our WiFi web surfing test. At the end of the day, folks who demand the epitome of raw performance at all costs will hardly find any room for complaint with the Legion Pro 7i, especially at its current sale price.
