The durability of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon series is more accessible at its $1,569 sale price. A reduced weight and crisp 14-inch OLED display are highlights of this Lenovo laptop. Enterprising users on the go will also encounter extended battery life and versatile connectivity.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptops offer high-end specs and a reinforced construction. However, their added power and durability often negatively impacted portability. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition is now a much trimmer 2.17 lbs. Its transition to the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor results in more efficient performance. Meanwhile, a responsive 14-inch OLED screen stands out from competitors.

In a new Lenovo store laptop deal, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 has its price slashed to $1,569, a discount of $1250. Buyers can save an additional $40 with coupon code "BUYMORELENOVO", bringing the price down to $1529. This configuration includes 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD.

A lighter OLED business laptop

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon series tempts business or enterprise users who regularly commute. With the Gen 13 Aura Edition, the Lenovo laptop is now less cumbersome to travel with. The manufacturer introduced carbon fiber and magnesium to the chassis to reduce its weight. Without much flashiness, it features a premium yet understated black finish.

With a 14-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED display, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 becomes an option for design work. Owners benefit from deep blacks and wide viewing angles. On the other hand, its maximum brightness is lower than that of MacBook Pro rivals. Powered by the Intel Arc Graphics 140V integrated GPU, the Lenovo laptop is no match for OLED gaming laptops. Still, gamers will appreciate the option for a low-latency 120Hz refresh rate.

The Notebookcheck review of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 found that the business laptop meets expectations for battery life. Lenovo’s decision to switch to the Core Ultra 7 CPU pays dividends, even if its multi-core performance is less than top-notch.

A well-rounded ThinkPad X1 Carbon with minor drawbacks

As tradition on Lenovo ThinkPad models, buyers will find the red TrackPoint embedded in the keyboard. Alternatively, users can control the notebook with a trackpad. Unfortunately, the haptic upgrade is not available in this Lenovo laptop deal. On the positive side, the LED-backlit keyboard features a generous layout for a 14-inch laptop, complete with navigation keys.

Not surprisingly, Lenovo markets the AI capabilities of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and its Copilot key. The business laptop also aims to make connecting it to external monitors painless. Buyers can use a pair of Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, and will also find a 5Gbps USB Type-A port on its left side.

The $1,569 sale price on the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 addresses its main weakness of high cost. Even so, a lackluster 1080p webcam is disappointing for a notebook used for video conferencing. Also, the soldered 32GB of memory and lack of a 64GB upgrade path could deter buyers. Nevertheless, the Lenovo laptop doesn’t disappoint with its lightweight stature, improved battery life, and sharp OLED screen.

Purchase the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition laptop for $1,569 at Lenovo. Coupon code "BUYMORELENOVO" brings the price down to $1529.

As an alternative, Lenovo also has a version on sale for $1479 with the faster Intel Ultra 7 268V, but slower Gen4 M.2 SSD. Use coupon code "BUYMORELENOVO" to reduce the price to $1439.
