Lenovo kicked off this month by launching a pair of new lightweight tablets in China under its Xiaoxin sub-brand. Offered as mid-range and flagship options respectively, the Xiaoxin Tablet 12.1 and Xiaoxin Tablet Pro GT arrived about three months after Lenovo's latest Legion Y700 tablet that has since been challenged by the Redmi K Pad and RedMagic Astra (curr. $699 on Amazon).
To accompany these tablet releases, Lenovo has decided to introduce dedicated microSD card accessories for all variants. As we covered at the end of last month, the Legion high-energy gaming microSD card comes in 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB capacities with 60 MB/s write and 170 MB/s read speeds for CNY 159 (~$22), CNY 349 (~$49) and CNY 749 (~$104). Incidentally, Lenovo's store listing also mentions a 128 GB variant being available, although no pricing information is listed at this time.
By contrast, the Xiaoxin TF Jump Card starts at CNY 69 (~$10) in its 128 GB form. Again, while Lenovo indicates that a 64 GB version exists, it is not selling this option for the time being. Regardless, the Xiaoxin TF Jump Card also comes in 256 GB and 512 GB capacities for CNY 149 (~$21) and CNY 299 (~$42). While little separates the two microSD card brands on price, the Legion high-energy gaming microSD card is said to deliver 88% faster read speeds and 20% faster write speeds. Lenovo has not suggested at this stage whether these microSD cards will be available outside China.
