Leaker Digital Chat Station has now weighed on in the state of Xiaomi's Pad 8 series. For context, only a week has passed since the same leaker contradicted others by associating a leak with the Redmi Pad 2 Pro rather than the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro.
Reiterating recent 3C regulatory body sightings, Digital Chat Station believes that the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro will arrive with the same wired charging capabilities as the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro (curr. $614.99 on Amazon). In other words, the leaker expects Xiaomi to provide the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro with 45 W and 67 W wired charging, respectively. Apparently, these will be joined by circa 10,000 mAh batteries, which would represent a 13% generational improvement.
Moreover, Digital Chat Station reports that both tablets will feature more powerful chipsets than the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 that grace the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro, respectively. However, neither will gain OLED displays. Instead, the leaker asserts that Xiaomi will return with a pair of 11.16-inch high-refresh rate IPS displays that sound like those found in the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro. Writing on Weibo, Digital Chat Station speculates that Xiaomi will offer an OLED panel in at least one Pad 8 model, but perhaps only the Pad 8 Ultra.
