The Xiaomi Pad 7 (available on Amazon for $399 right now) launched with 45-watt (or 45W) charging via USB-C, whereas its Pro sibling debuted with a faster 67W system. Their supposedly upcoming successors the Pad 8 and 8 Pro will have the exact same respective specs, according to a new leak.
The legendary tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) now purports to contradict that claim, asserting that 1 of the new tablets, freshly spotted on the 3C regulatory database in China, is the "Redmi Pad 2 Pro".
The device alluded to is the "25091RP04C", which is the one with the faster, more flagship-style charging. The new post does not offer any clues as to the alleged identity of the 2nd tablet (the "25097RP43C"), though.
The leak is also a little vague, in that it fails to specify whether the tablet is intended as a Pro version of the Redmi Pad 2, or a new generation of the brand's Pad Pro.
Either way, DCS claims that it will launch as part of the major Redmi K90-series launch event, projected to take place by the end of October in 2025.
