Xiaomi has just released the Redmi K80 Ultra in China, which is also known as the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition. Expected to be announced later this year as the successor to the Xiaomi 14T Pro (curr. $619 on Amazon), the Redmi K80 Ultra is already available to import from China. While the Redmi K80 Ultra is not even a week old, Digital Chat Station has already turned their sights on what smartphones Xiaomi will be releasing later this year.
According to the leaker, Xiaomi will shift to the Redmi Note 15 series first. Please note that this may only apply in China, where Xiaomi typically releases Redmi Note smartphones first. With that being said, the arrival of Redmi Note 15 smartphones in India may not be far behind if last year's Redmi Note 14 series is anything to go by.
Meanwhile, Digital Chat Station believes that the first Xiaomi 16 flagships will precede the Redmi K90 series. Although exact details remain unknown for the time being, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro about a month before unveiling the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro in China. Potentially, the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro will debut in the wake of Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit, which it will host between September 23 and September 25 in Hawaii.
