A new leak has revealed details of Xiaomi's upcoming upper mid-range smartphone, the Redmi K90. Globally, it may launch under the Poco brand as the Poco F8 Pro.

The Redmi K80 and the K80 Pro were released in China as upper mid-range smartphones in November 2024. Subsequently, both models were rebranded for the global market as the Poco F7 Pro and the Poco F7 Ultra, respectively. A new leak has now surfaced online, revealing key details of the Redmi K90, which may launch in markets outside of China as the Poco F8 Pro.

A known tipster, Smart Pikachu on Weibo, claims that the Xiaomi Redmi K90 will feature a 6.6-inch display. It will have a triple rear camera setup, including a telephoto lens. Additionally, the tipster hints that Redmi may opt for a vertical design for the camera housing. For comparison, the Redmi K80 had a circular camera module housing a dual-camera setup and lacked a telephoto lens.

Furthermore, the Redmi K90 is tipped to feature a 7,000mAh battery, up from 6,550mAh on the K80. The phone may feature symmetrical dual speakers and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The tipster also hints that the Redmi K90 will come with a frosted glass back design.

The Redmi K90 series is expected to debut in China in Q4 2025. The series may launch under the Poco branding in the global market in Q1 2026. All this information is based on speculation and remains unconfirmed.
