The Redmi K90 Pro is likely a few months away from being officially released. Nonetheless, Digital Chat Station has offered fresh insights into the device after suggesting it will arrive after the launch of the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro in September.
For instance, the leaker expects Xiaomi to adopt a periscope telephoto camera in a major change from the current Redmi K80 Pro. Although details remain unknown for now, we suspect the new camera will surpass the 50 MP, 1/2.76-inch and 60 mm telephoto found in the current Redmi K80 Pro and the Poco F7 Ultra outside of China (curr. $799 on Amazon).
The Redmi K90 Pro is also anticipated to feature a metal mid-frame and symmetrical dual speakers while retaining the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner of its predecessor. On top of that, Digital Chat Station believes that the device will offer a 'relatively large' x-axis motor to improve haptic feedback.
Apparently the Redmi K90 Pro will bring over wireless charging support as well, which reaches 50 W on the Redmi K80 Pro. The inclusion of a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850) chipset should see the Redmi K90 Pro delivering a 'flagship-level configuration' when it arrives this autumn too in Digital Chat Station's view. As it stands, the Redmi K90 Pro is unlikely to receive a global release under a different name until early 2026.
