Xiaomi will release the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro in the coming months. If previous generations are anything to go by, the duo will be rebadged as the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra globally next year, and details of the pricier Redmi K90 Pro have now leaked.
As shared by leaker Smart Pikachu, the Redmi K90 Pro is expected to arrive with several upgrades. First on the list will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5—or however Qualcomm's next-gen flagship chipset is branded. The phone will also see a massive jump in battery capacity, going from the 6,000 mAh unit on the Redmi K80 Pro to a 7,000 mAh one.
Lastly, the Redmi K90 Pro is also tipped to feature a periscope zoom lens. Xiaomi has kept that feature exclusive to its main flagship phones but that now looks geared to change, with the K90 Pro likely set to debut as the first Redmi device with that feature.
In addition to those, the Redmi K90 will sport a 2K OLED like its predecessor, along with 120 W charging, wireless charging, and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. It's also expected to feature the improved audio hardware seen on the Redmi K80 Ultra. The Redmi K90 Pro is tipped to debut in October and, if history is any indication, then be rebranded as the Poco F8 Ultra around May next year.
