Xiaomi is getting ready to launch the Redmi Note 15 Pro series in China in an event that's set for August 21, 2025. In recent days, the company has already confirmed a couple of core specs of the Plus mid-range phone, and now, it has confirmed the SoC that will be powering the device.
As previously speculated, the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus will come with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which was recently detailed by Qualcomm. Per Qualcomm's promotional materials, compared to the 7s Gen 3, the new mid-range SoC offers a 7% better overall performance.
In the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, Xiaomi says that the SoC will be paired with an upgraded cooling setup compared to the predecessor. It's said to have a cooling area of 5,2002 mm, and it promises to offer 3x higher thermal conductivity.
Besides the SoC, Xiaomi has also shared some camera specs of the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. The primary sensor on the back is confirmed to be the Light Hunter 800, the same main camera as the Indian version of the predecessor. It's paired with a 2.5x telephoto with five focal lengths.
There's a third camera on the back as well, and while Xiaomi has yet to reveal its specifics, it's likely an ultrawide sensor. The company has also shared some sample pictures captured by the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which are attached at the end.
Regarding the other confirmed specs, the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus is confirmed to sport a 1.5K display with 3,200 nits peak brightness, a 7,000 mAh battery with 90 W fast charging support (140 W Anker 737 power bank curr. $87.99 on Amazon), and multiple IP ratings, including IP69 and IP69K. Pricing and availability details won't likely be confirmed before the August 21 launch event.
