Xiaomi has entered a new phase of Redmi Note 15 series teasers, having confirmed an August 21 launch event yesterday. Incidentally, the company has seemingly influencers to post hands-on photos and videos of its Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus, too. Now, it has started confirming various specifications about the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus, evidence of which we have embedded below.
As expected, the device will feature a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 1,600 charging cycles for a 12.9% capacity improvement over the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus that Xiaomi sells in China and India. While 90 W wired charging returns for another generation, it will be joined by 22.5 W reverse wired charging that the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus misses out on. This new battery will be protected by IP69K certification, as well as a glass fibre back panel.
Meanwhile, this year's model has grown to accommodate a 6.83-inch display, up from 6.67-inches in the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus (curr. $374 on Amazon). Covered by Xiaomi's Dragon Crystal Glass, the comparatively large display is said to output at 1.5K with 3,200 nits peak brightness, 1,800 nits full panel brightness and a subtle curvature on all sides. Apparently, the device's speakers sport a '400% loudness mode' too, although the 82.5 dB peak volume mentioned by Xiaomi would see the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus falling short of its predecessor that we reviewed at the start of the year.
