Honor has launched its latest affordable 5G smartphone, the X7c, in India. The entry-level smartphone is a slightly upgraded version of its 4G counterpart, which was announced last year. The X7c lines up as a budget-range 5G smartphone to compete with recent releases from Samsung, iQOO, and Poco, among others.
Honor has fitted a large 6.8-inch LCD display into the X7c that delivers FHD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 850 nits. Speaking of powered things, the device boasts a 5,200 mAh battery that supports 35 W wired charging. Under the hood, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage with no room for storage expansion.
Moreover, the Honor X7c features a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP primary camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. Upfront, you’ll get a 5 MP shooter for selfies and video chats. Software-wise, it runs Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0 out of the box. However, there’s no word on software updates from the brand.
Other highlights of the X7c include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, up to 8 GB of extended RAM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G connectivity, an IP64 ingress protection rating, and an SGS 5-star drop resistance rating.
Available in moonlight white and forest green colorways, the Honor X7c is priced at INR 14,999 ($170) for the sole 8 GB + 256 GB variant. Open sales will begin on August 20 via Amazon.
