Samsung has officially announced that the rollout of One UI 8 to more devices is right around the corner. Based on Android 16, One UI 8 landed last month in stable form with the launches of the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7.
In a new press release, Samsung has now clarified that the new update 'will begin with the Galaxy S25 series...in September'. At this stage, it is unclear whether this rollout includes the Galaxy S25 Edge or just the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $968 on Amazon) that arrived a few months earlier.
Meanwhile, this month will mark an expansion of the One UI 8 Beta Program to a host of last-generation flagships. Specifically, Samsung has confirmed that Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy S24 series owners will be able to try its new OS update from August 10, but only in India, the UK and the US.
Subsequently, a new batch of mid-range and older flagships will be added to the Beta Program. Samsung has not confirmed regional availability yet, though.
