Samsung typically unveils its flagship Galaxy S series phones in January and then a budget friendly FE phone later in the year around September. This year, with the Galaxy S25 FE, Samsung will bring the phone to market earlier than usual, but exactly how early is uncertain at this point. The Korean tech giant, during its latest earnings call, shared that it has several devices planned for the second half of 2025.
Talking about results for Q2 2025 and future device releases, Daniel Araujo, VP of Samsung’s Mobile Experience division, said, “For the Galaxy S25 series, we will focus on maintaining sales momentum with seasonal promotions as well as an earlier launch of the S25 FE.”
While no further details were shared, estimates can be drawn based on previous FE model releases. The Galaxy S24 FE was announced in late September 2024 and made available in early October. This means the Galaxy S25 FE could be announced as early as August, next month, and go on sale within the month or early September.
Samsung's release schedule for the second half of 2025 seems to be quite healthy. New entry-level A-series smartphones are expected, along with the next Galaxy Tab. It has been known that the first Samsung tri-fold will also be announced later this year. Apart from the smartphone segment, the company’s XR headset called Project Moohan is scheduled to be unveiled later in the year as well.
As for the Galaxy S25 FE, there have been quite a few leaks and rumors about the phone hinting at the design, color options, and specifications. The phone is said to come in Navy, Iceblue, Jetblack and White color options, replacing the current model’s Blue, Graphite, Gray, Mint and Yellow. The battery capacity is expected to be 4,900 mAh with support for 45W fast charging. A 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO display is expected with full-HD+ resolution.
