The Honor Magic 8 series has been in the news for a few months with reports of multiple models that include the standard Honor Magic 8 as well as an Honor Magic 8 Pro and a smaller Honor Magic 8 Mini. Another report has mentioned that there will be a larger model that will launch as the Magic 8 Max. And now, another source has revealed a fifth model that is unsurprisingly called the Honor Magic 8 Ultra.
The info comes from Digital Chat Station, a renowned leaker. Posting on Weibo, the leaker said the upcoming flagship will feature Honor's AiMAGE technology, an AI-powered imaging technology unveiled in March 2025. In addition to AI camera features, the Honor Magic 8 Ultra is also reported to bring some premium features that are currently being kept under wraps.
With the Honor Magic 8 Ultra, it is not known if there will still be a RSR Porsche Design edition or if this replaces it. However, there are speculations that the Honor 8 Ultra might be the successor to the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate. The Honor Magic 7 series didn't get an Ultimate version, so the speculation isn't far-fetched.
The Honor 8 series is expected to launch later this year, but some models might not arrive until 2026.
