Honor Magic6 Ultimate announced with release alongside Magic6 RSR Porsche Design planned
A few weeks have now passed since Honor hinted at the release of the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design. To recap, the company claimed that the device would be launching sometime this month, although it did not announce when. Additionally, it briefly provided a look at part of the device's camera housing, in which a few hardware and software features could be seen.
Currently, it remains to be seen when Honor's second Porsche Design collaboration will be released globally. However, the company has now revealed that the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design will debut in China in a week's time. Not only will Honor showcase a new RSR Porsche Design smartphone on March 18, but it will also use the same event to present the MagicBook Pro 16 to its Chinese fans. Presumably, the laptop will contain no changes from the version it unveiled during MWC 2024, which we have since reviewed.
On top of that, Honor plans to exhibit the Magic6 Ultimate, which will be available in 'Ink Rock Black' and 'Sky Purple' colour options. For now, the company has only revealed what the back of the Magic6 Ultimate looks like, evidence of which we have embedded below. Nonetheless, it is already clear that the device has built on its predecessor's design with a comparatively large camera housing that protects three lenses and an LED flash array. If the Magic5 Ultimate is anything to go by, the Magic6 Ultimate will contain the same underlying hardware as the Magic6 Pro but in a more luxurious package.
