Honor Magic7 Pro tipped to ditch curved display and 80W charging on launch
The Honor Magic7 series has been linked to an upgrade to even more advanced periscope zoom cameras - however, they are not coming to the Pro member of the line-up, according to a new leak possibly associated with the smartphone.
It is now tipped to stick with the same telephoto lens as its predecessor - then again, it is still a 180MP shooter that gained the Magic6 Pro high DxOMark acclaim in early 2024.
The Magic7 Pro is also now believed to stick with the same main 50MP main camera from the previous generation - although it might get the OmniVision OV50H as an ultrawide-angle lens.
Honor might also abandon the last-gen Quad Curved Floating Screen for one more like that of the OnePlus 13 in the Magic7 Pro. On that note, those 2 devices might also end up facing off directly with the same 100W wired charging speed, as opposed to 80W in the Magic6 Pro.
The latest leaks also hint at "full-blooded" wireless charging in the 7 Pro, which suggests more of the custom 66W technology as in its forebear.
The Magic6 Pro was one of the first 2024 premium smartphones to have a state-of-the-art silicon-carbon battery with a rated capacity of 5,600mAh - which might stay more or less the same in its successor.
Then again, the Magic7 Pro is of course also tipped to upgrade to the latest in Snapdragon 8-series silicon on its potentially imminent announcement.
