Tipster shares possible launch dates of Xiaomi 15 and Honor Magic 7

Xiaomi was the first to release a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphone, and now, the company will be among the first to offer new flagship phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. As for when these new smartphones may debut, a reliable tipster named "Fixed Focus Digital" on Weibo suggests that the Xiaomi 15 series could launch on October 20 in China.

This launch timing is a bit odd, as Qualcomm is expected to fully unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit. This event is scheduled from October 21 to October 23. It's possible that the Chinese manufacturer may announce the Xiaomi 15 series with the new SoC a day earlier, as the new MediaTek flagships will launch earlier than expected.

To fill you in, MediaTek has confirmed that the Dimensity 9400 will launch on October 9. The Oppo Find X8 and Vivo X200 will be among the first phones to feature the next-gen MediaTek SoC, and the latter lineup is already confirmed to launch on October 14 in China.

Getting back to the Xiaomi 15 series, a recent leak shed light on the full spec list of the upcoming flagships. The vanilla model is said to feature a 6.36-inch display, a three-camera setup on the rear with 50 MP sensors, 100W wired fast charging, and support for 50W wireless charging. Its Pro variant will reportedly have a 6.73-inch display and support for faster wired and wireless charging rates (140W Anker 737 power bank curr. $109.99 on Amazon).

The Weibo tipster further hints that the Honor Magic 7 series could launch on October 30. This is another lineup that's expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, and the series is expected to have five models, all with 100W wired fast charging support.
