Google Pixel 9a: Leak points to larger casing and four colors
The new design of the Google Pixel 9a has already been seen in initial photos and renders over the past few weeks, and now Android Headlines has just uncovered the exact dimensions and colors of the mid-range smartphone. The Pixel 9a measures 154 x 73 x 8.5 millimeters, making the device 0.4 millimeters thinner than the Pixel 8a despite the new camera module, which sits almost flat in the casing.
However, the device is also almost 2 millimeters taller and slightly wider than the Pixel 8a, although the device is still expected to have a screen diagonal of 6.1 inches. This indicates wider screen edges, but the possibility of a slightly larger display still cannot be ruled out. Compared to the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9a is around 1.2 millimeters taller and one millimeter wider, but has exactly the same thickness.

Details here
The Pixel 9a will be available in a total of four colors: Porcelain (beige), Obsidian (black), Peony (pink) and Iris (blue-violet). Only the blue-violet color is completely new, as the regular Pixel 9 is already available in pink. The Pixel 9a will have a fresh design with a flat frame and pill-shaped camera module, which is no longer positioned in the middle of the casing.
Aside from this, hardly any details are known about the features of the mid-range smartphone. Following the launch of the Pixel 8a in May 2024, the Pixel 9a is likely to be launched in spring 2025. The smartphone will be equipped with the Google Tensor G4 from the Pixel 9, but will have an older modem and thus no option for satellite emergency calls.
