OnePlus 13 confirmed to have magnetic wireless charging

The confirmation that the OnePlus 13 will have support for magnetic wireless charging comes from a post shared on Weibo by Kinder Liu, the President and COO of OnePlus. The top OnePlus executive shared a screenshot of a conversation between him and an unnamed OnePlus fan who asked if the OnePlus 13 will have a bamboo case like the early OnePlus smartphones.

In his response, Liu revealed that OnePlus had no plans to release a bamboo case for the OnePlus 13. However, there will be wood grain cases with support for magnetic accessories. This can be deduced to be a confirmation that the OnePlus 13 will have support for magnetic wireless charging, at least if not built directly into the phone but via the official cases.

The OnePlus 13 having support for magnetic wireless charging makes sense considering Oppo's upcoming Find X8 series not only has the same feature but Oppo is also launching a line of magnetic accessories including a power bank. This way, OnePlus 13 owners can also grab any of these accessories to use with their device.

So far, it has been reported that the OnePlus 13 will have a slightly curved 2K LTPO display supplied by BOE. It will be powered by Qualcomm's next-gen Snapdragon flagship processor, have three 50MP rear cameras, and pack a massive 6,000mAh battery.It will support 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Just like the OnePlus 12 (available on Amazon for $799), it is expected to make its debut first in China before a global release later.
