Oppo Find X7 Ultra secures first spot in DxOMark global smartphone camera ranking
The Oppo Find X7 Ultra debuted earlier this year as the world's first dual-periscope camera smartphone. It was also the first Android flagship that brought the Sony LYT-900, a 50 MP 1-inch sensor that the smartphone uses as the primary camera. The phone also utilizes a Sony LYT-600 as the ultra-wide-angle sensor, which is another 50 MP sensor with full-pixel phase focusing.
When it comes to the periscope cameras, the Find X7 Ultra packs the 50 MP Sony IMX890 with 3x zoom and the Sony IMX858 with 6x zoom. All these flagship camera sensors are paired with Hasselblad tuning and are powered by the HyperTone engine. This robust camera setup has earned the phone the top spot in DxOMark's global smartphone camera ranking.
As DxOMark explains, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra delivers excellent results in all the test areas. The French company notes that the phone stands out the most in terms of capturing portraits, offering natural and accurate colors with high levels of detail. Besides balanced rendering, the smartphone also offers a wide dynamic range, ensuring detailed reproduction even in low-light conditions.
DxOMark further describes the Find X7 Ultra excels in terms of depth estimation and can achieve accurate blur gradients. All this made the French company give the smartphone a score of 85 in the Bokeh category, which is the current highest.
