Motorola announces Moto G Power 5G 2024 for $299.99 running Android 14 and new MediaTek Dimensity chipset
Motorola has officially announced the Moto G Power 5G (2024), four months after @OnLeaks provided a first look at the device. As expected, the latest Moto G Power 5G contains two rear-facing cameras arranged vertically. Also, the new device features Motorola's updated mid-range design language, within which sits 50 MP primary (OIS) and 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensors.
In other words, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) does away with the 2 MP auxiliary cameras that Motorola installed in earlier models. Additionally, the handset has a 16 MP front-facing camera that sits beneath a display spanning 6.7-inches across. According to Motorola's press release, the IPS panel outputs at 1080p (2,400 x 1,080) with a 120 Hz refresh rate; other display specifications remain unknown for now, though.
Moreover, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) utilises the Dimensity 7020, a 6 nm SoC that MediaTek introduced in late 2023. For context, the Dimensity 7020 replaces the Dimensity 930 and is complemented in the Moto G Power 5G (2024) by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 30 W wired charging over USB Type-C. The new Moto G Power 5G will debut on March 22 in the US for $299.99 and on April 12 in Canada. For reference, Motorola will ship the Moto G Power 5G (2024) with Android 14, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
