Honor went with the mainstream in terms of display sizes for its current crop of flagship Android smartphones, going with deeply conventional ~6.8-inch panels in the Magic7, the Magic7 Pro and even the top-end RSR Porsche Design variant.
Their successors might choose to live more on the edge with a more novel ~6.7-inch spec in the Magic8 Pro. Now, its vanilla sibling is thought to be even smaller at 6.58 inches in diagonal length, thereby possibly moving to challenge the Oppo Find X9 in the 'medium-size' category.
The Magic8 series is thought to get even more compact in the form of its inaugural Mini variant, thought to break into the ~6.31-inch arena alongside the Vivo X200 FE, OnePlus 13s and possibly the next-gen OnePlus 15T later in 2025.
The Magic8 and Magic8 Pro are both thought to retain 1.5K LTPO technology nonetheless, while their putative "Mini" sibling's resolution and power-efficiency specs are yet to be discussed in its pre-launch leaks.
It is, however, thought to benefit from the same slim-bezel technology as its larger siblings. It will be interesting to see if the "Magic8 Mini" can also inherit the same large battery and 80W wireless charging specs of its 7-series predecessors.
