Honor has confirmed that it will break Android smartphone battery capacity records (again) with the X70, a handset now officially set to launch with its new 8,300mAh tech on July 15, 2025.
It will indeed be paired to high-speed 80W wired charging in the X70, not to mention the 80W wireless charging the phone will have in common with its flagship Magic7 Pro and RSR counterparts on its debut.
The ground-breaking battery will indeed sustain a 1.5K display with a 6,000-nit peak brightness rating in the device. Honor promises an "immersive experience" on the X70, as its screen bezels will be of a mere 1.3mm in depth.
For all its potentially ground-breaking specs, the X70 is projected to be no flagship killer on its launch. Instead, it might take on other mid-range handsets such as the Realme 14 5G with the same Snapdragon 6-series silicon.
Then again, that might set the new smartphone up to be a new benchmark in the ~$400 price-bracket from its impending launch.
