According to the latest rumors, the Honor X70 will compete with smartphones such as the Realme P3 (now available in India for INR 15,999 (~$187)) on its launch, as the 2 devices might have the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC.
The X70 might give the impression of being much more cutting-edge with what might be the market's largest 8,300mAh battery, though. The supposedly upcoming Honor mid-range powerhouse is also once again linked to 80W wired charging - not to mention wireless charging of the same extra-fast rate.
That additional 80W spec might be exclusive to a top-end 12GB RAM/512GB internal storage edition of the handset, though.
It might share a 120Hz OLED display with every other version of the X70, though, now said to be 6.79-inch in diagonal length and 1.5K (or 2640x1200) in resolution. It might have no less than 6,000 nits of peak brightness and a 3,840Hz PWM anti-flicker mode.
The flat panel might form part of a design that looks most like a hybrid of the older X50 and the current flagship Magic7 Pro in its latest render.
The image hints at dual rear cameras at the most for the X70, although 1 of those shooters might be 50MP in resolution with OIS - no scope for an advanced zoom lens here, though.
The X70 might make up for that with an IR blaster in addition to NFC and stereo speakers, combined with up-to-date IP69-rated durability.
Its flat mid-frame might be plastic over metal - although that choice might keep its weight down to 199 grams (g) at the most.
The Honor X70 is thought to debut in August 2025 at the latest, as part of a mid-year release cycle that might also see the introduction of other potentially intriguing devices such as the Oppo K13 Turbo, the iQoo Neo11 Pro and very possibly an X70 Pro sibling with an ~8,000mAh battery of its own and a higher-end Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
