Motorola is adding two more expensive phones to the Edge 60 series, as the regular Edge 60 will cost €100 more than the Edge 60 Fusion. The overall design of these three devices from the Edge 60 series are very similar. Motorola opts for a curved display, a back panel with a fabric texture and a square camera bump with three lenses.
The Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro apparently have the same 6.67-inch 120Hz pOLED display as the Edge 60 Fusion. Motorola advertises a peak brightness of 4,500 nits in all cases, and the fingerprint sensor is still integrated into the display. Both devices are IP68 certified and therefore water-resistant. That said, the cameras have received an upgrade, and the two new additions feature a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide camera, a 10MP f/2.0 telephoto camera with 3x zoom and a 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
Thanks to Pantone optimizations, the cameras are supposedly very accurate at reproducing colors and skin tones in particular. Just like the Edge 60 Fusion, the Motorola Edge 60 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 and a 5,200mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C at up to 68 watts. On the other hand, the Edge 60 Pro relies on the quicker Dimensity 8350 and a larger 6,000mAh battery, which can be charged via cable at up to 90 watts, or up to 15 watts wirelessly.
Price and availability
The Motorola Edge 60 is now available with 12GB RAM and 512GB mass storage for €429 in many European markets. The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is expected to follow shortly and will be offered with the same amount of memory and storage for €599. These smartphones are unlikely to launch in the US.
