Motorola has already launched two smartphones under the Edge 60 series. To recap, the company brought the 'Stylus' moniker for another run out earlier this month with the release of the Edge 60 Stylus. Prior to that, it introduced a successor to the Edge 50 Fusion (curr. $269 on Amazon) that it offers globally.
Based on recent teasers, April 24 will mark the official introduction of not just the Edge 60 Pro but also the cheaper Edge 60. To that end, Evan Blass recently published numerous promotional photos relating to the latter, having given the former the same treatment a few days earlier. Today, these photos have been joined by detailed specifications and launch pricing courtesy of billbil_kun posting on Dealabs.
Reiterating prior leaks, billbil_kun reports that the Edge 60 will arrive tomorrow with the same 6.67-inch and 120 Hz AMOLED display as the Edge 60 Pro. Seemingly, both smartphones will contain the same 50 MP primary, 50 MP ultra-wide-angle, 50 MP front-facing and 10 MP telephoto cameras, too. However, the Edge 60 will diverge from the more expensive Edge 60 Pro in a few areas.
For example, Motorola is expected to have installed the less powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, which it will complement with at least 8 GB of RAM. A 5,200 mAh battery aided by 68 W wired charging should also be in attendance, as should microSD card expansion that the Edge 60 Pro misses out on altogether. The Edge 60 is reputed to be a few grammes lighter than its Pro sibling too, albeit with broadly the same dimensions and IP69 certification against dust and water ingress.
According to billbil_kun, the Edge 60 will start at €379 (~$430) in the Eurozone with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in 'Sea Blue of Gibraltar' and 'Shamrock Green' colour options. Alternatively, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage SKUs should be available for €100 more at €479 (~$543). As a result, the Edge 60 could retail for significantly less than the Edge 60 Pro, launch pricing for which we have covered separately.
