Alongside the Motorola Edge 60 Pro and Razr 60 Ultra, Motorola has also announced the Moto Watch Fit. The design of this new smartwatch is clearly reminiscent of the Apple Watch, but Motorola’s counterpart does not offer a digital crown and uses a panel with significantly larger bezels, probably to keep the price low.
Specifically, Motorola has opted for a 1.9-inch AMOLED display with a brightness of 1,000 nits and scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3. Thanks to a built-in GPS module, the watch can record the distance covered during running and biking, even without a smartphone. In conjunction with a heart rate, SpO2 as well as motion sensors, the watch can count steps and track over 100 activities.
Moreover, the smartwatch is IP68 certified and water-resistant up to 5 ATM, so the wearable is suitable for swimming. Motorola advertises a remarkable battery life of 16 days, but the watch probably won’t sport an always-on display. The Moto Watch Fit is compatible with conventional 22-millimeter watch straps and can only be used with Android smartphones. It can also display notifications and control music playback.
Price and availability
The Motorola Moto Watch Fit is priced at £89.99 in the UK. Details on pricing and availability in other markets are still pending.
