Only a few days have passed since Huawei confirmed it had a successor to the Watch 4 waiting in the wings. Initially, Huawei revealed very little about the Watch 5. Now though, the company has published a pair of short teaser videos online, both of which we have embedded below.
Seemingly, the Watch 5 is set to arrive with a modernised design compared to the Watch 4 and last year's Watch GT 5 (curr. $226 on Amazon). For example, the teaser videos paint the picture that the Watch 5 has a flat frame like many modern smartphones, as well as thin bezels surrounding its presumed OLED display. Huawei has also confirmed that the Watch 5 has a digital crown, which sits above a mysterious new sensor.

Currently, the purpose or purposes of this sensor are unknown. However, Huawei's 'tap into the future' teaser suggests that the sensor is attached to a physical button of some kind. On top of that, the company claims that this button will bring the 'future of digital health' to 'your fingertips'.
Consequently, we would not be surprised if the Watch 5 could offer some quick health insights of some sort when you hold your finger against this sensor using an upgraded TruSense software package. Huawei will officially unveil the Watch 5 on May 15 during a dedicated launch event.
