The Watch 5 is Vivo's latest smartwatch, and one that looks an awful lot like the Pixel Watch 3 (curr. $399 on Amazon) in official promotional images. As expected, the Vivo Watch 5 offers various improvements over its predecessor, despite weighing over 10% less.
For example, the Vivo Watch 5 boasts up to 22 days of battery life, which equates to 6 days longer than the Vivo Watch 3. Also, Vivo leans more heavily on AI this time around to achieve what it describes as a more comprehensive health monitoring system and a dedicated sports coach. On top of that, the Watch 5 can warn when it detects irregular heartbeats (AFib) and potential blood pressure problems.
The Vivo Watch 5 is also compatible with iOS, unlike many of its competitors. Reportedly, the smartwatch's 1.43-inch AMOLED display peaks at an impressive 1,500 nits too; Vivo does not provide equivalent data for the Vivo Watch 3. Unfortunately, Vivo has not confirmed whether the Watch 5 will be available globally yet, either. Instead, the smartwatch is currently exclusive to China where it retails for CNY 799 (~$110) or CNY 999 (~$137) in its stainless steel variant.
