Garmin is piling on the bug fixes and improvements it will eventually bring to its current flagship smartwatches running stable software. In the last few hours, the company has released a new update in its 15.xx beta development cycle that adds another 19 changes from those it has already offered to beta testers.
This time around, Garmin has delivered a pair of new features to the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 (curr. $1,299 on Amazon), along with 17 bug fixes. On top of that, Beta Version 15.24 has arrived with new Sensor Hub firmware, which upgrades all smartwatches from v34.09 and v34.10. Although Garmin does not directly reveal what changes it has made in this regard, we suspect the jump to v34.10 refines Garmin's sensor pairing experience by displaying sensors in pairing mode first.
By our count, the list of changes from System Software 13.35 is nearing 150. Nonetheless, there is no suggestion that Garmin has finalised 15.xx development yet. Instead, the disablement of Aviation, Dive and ECG features implies that at least one beta build will be offered, if not more. The full list of changes between v15.23 and v15.24 are as follows:
