New Garmin smartwatch update fixes passcode problem

In a recent forum post, Garmin announced the release of beta version 14.07. This update resolves issues relating to the recently added passcode feature and Pilates workouts. Plus, users of the Venu 3, Venu 3s and vivoactive 5 smartwatches receive minor improvements to a calorie tracking tool.

Garmin is rolling out another update for the Venu 3, Venu 3s and vivoactive 5 smartwatches. Beta version 14.07 is the latest release in the 14.xx testing cycle, which has so far offered users a range of bug fixes and improvements to the recent passcode feature.

The release notes for beta version 14.07 notes two bug fixes. The first tackles an issue with a passcode request after a power cycling activity. The second ensures that the exercise videos linked to Pilates workouts are available. Another change with this latest update is a small tweak to the appearance of the calorie graph. Plus, there are said to be other minor bug fixes and improvements, though no further details are provided. At the time of writing, there have been no user reports of bugs relating to beta version 14.07.

You can download beta version 14.07 by going to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update. As with any beta update, the ECG app is disabled for users of the Venu 3 smartwatch (45mm Black watch curr. $439 at Amazon). It remains to be seen when the next stable update will arrive for the Venu 3, Venu 3s and vivoactive 5 smartwatches.
