The Amazfit Active 2 smartwatch is receiving a new update. This smartwatch was launched in January 2025 as an affordable health and fitness tracking wearable with an AMOLED display. The new firmware, version 6.0.14.1, is not the first update for this watch; it received local music storage via an update in March and Zepp Flow 1.8.0 in early April.
Firmware version 6.0.14.1 has been reported by several users on social media. It appears that this update focuses on minor tweaks and bug fixes, with some Active 2 owners stating that they had not noticed any changes. A couple of users have reported a small alteration to the lift-to-wake feature, which allows you to activate the screen with this wrist gesture. After this update, it seems that the screen is less sensitive to activation and remains active for a slightly longer period of time. Other users have reported finding potential new bugs. One flagged that the swimming lap counter was now inaccurate, while another indicated that they could no longer switch off sounds for notifications.
While there are also reports of reduced battery performance after installing the update, this issue can normally be resolved by restarting the watch. It is unclear when the seemingly phased rollout of firmware version 6.0.14.1 will be complete, reaching all users of the Amazfit Active 2 smartwatch (curr. $99.99 at Amazon).
