Casio has quietly added four new models to its Oceanus Manta series in Japan, set for a May 2025 release. They’re split into two sets: the OCW-S400A-5AJF and OCW-S40-5AJF, and the OCW-S7000E-2AJF and OCW-S40-2AJF. All four stick to the same formula - titanium builds, sapphire crystal, solar-powered movements, and Bluetooth syncing - but each pair goes in its own design direction.
The S40-5AJF and S40-2AJF are the more minimal ones. Both are three-hand models with a slim case just under 39mm and weigh only 44g. The 2AJF comes in a cool-toned light blue, while the 5AJF opts for a warmer beige dial. They’re quiet, everyday watches, and don’t try to do too much - no chronograph, no extra dials. Just clean, premium styling, a nice polish, and the usual Manta-level finishing on the bracelet and case.
Things get more technical with the other two. The OCW-S7000E-2AJF and OCW-S400A-5AJF are chunkier chronographs at around 42.5mm. The S7000E is more sporty, with a busy blue dial, tachymeter bezel, and bold subdials, while the S400A goes more classic with a champagne-colored dial and matching bezel that leans into the dressier side of the Oceanus lineup.
Function-wise, they’re basically the same across the board - solar charging, atomic time sync, 100m water resistance - but it’s the styling and size that’ll decide which way you lean. Whether you’re after something simple and compact or a watch with a little more presence, there’s a Manta in this bunch for both camps.
