The Casio G-Shock MTG-B2000YBD-2A has officially launched in Japan, where it is now available to pre-order. This new MTG-B2000 Series watch was rumored earlier in 2025, with images leaking a few weeks later.
The MTG-B2000YBD-2A has a dual-core guard structure with carbon and stainless steel components, protective sapphire glass and a screw-lock crown. The watch has a blue-gray ion-plated bezel and a black ion-plated band. Aside from its color, the MTG-B2000YBD-2A is identical to the MTG-B2000YBD-1A, which was launched in 2021.
This new MT-G watch supports dual time zones, with users offered a choice of 27, and automatic daylight saving time settings. It is a radio-controlled watch with MultiBand 6, and Bluetooth connectivity allows you to access settings and a phone finder tool through the Casio Watches smartphone app. Features include a stopwatch, a countdown timer and an alarm. An LED backlight helps you to read the watch in low lighting, and a hands shift feature ensures you can always read the smaller dials, which offer information like the day of the week. Plus, it is water resistant to 20 ATM, and Tough Solar charging can enhance the watch’s battery life.
Casio is accepting pre-orders of the G-Shock MTG-B2000YBD-2A watch at its online store in Japan, where the model is priced at 181,500 yen (~$1,254). The company has yet to announce plans to launch this product in other markets. However, the older MTG-B2000YBD-1A or MTGB2000YBD1 was released in countries like the US, the UK and Australia, priced at $1,200/£1,109/AU$2,199.
