Earlier this month, OnePlus began selling its new WearOS smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3, in the US. Surprisingly, the watch arrived with a roughly 50% price increase from its original launch price compared to other regions. Now, the OnePlus Watch 3 has received a heavy price reduction, but it is still not back to its launch price.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is now available to buy from the OnePlus US website for $349.99 instead of the $499.99 price tag it carried a few weeks ago. While that is good news, the new permanent price is still $20 more than the price of the watch when it was announced in February 2025.
In a statement provided to The Verge, OnePlus spokesperson, Spencer Black, revealed that the price hike to $499.99 was as a result of “current market conditions” but thanks to changes in its supply chain and “further evaluation” they have been able to bring the price down. The new price is reported to be the final MSRP and will be permanent, with no more changes.
OnePlus has also announced that it will provide a refund of the difference to those who purchased the OnePlus Watch 3 at the $499.99 price tag. Those who bought the watch at the aforementioned price will be contacted by the company's customer support.
There are still ways to get the OnePlus Watch 3 for less than $349.99. For example, verified students are eligible for 10% off. There's also the option to trade in an eligible device for a discount (varies depending on the device and its condition) or even any device regardless of its condition for a $50 recycling reward which will be applied at the point of purchase.
And if you still want to save some money, the older OnePlus Watch 2 (currently available on Amazon for $209.99) is still worth buying. It currently sells for $299.99, but for a limited time, buyers can get an extra $50 off when they use the code ''HELLOMAY'' at checkout on the OnePlus online store.
