Infinity Nikki, the free-to-play cozy gacha game that focuses on fashion and mini-games, is getting a massive update at 11pm EST on April 28th. The changes to the game are vast and introduce a number of brand-new elements. The Infinity Nikki version 1.5 update will introduce bubble season, the latest theme players will get to explore.
So, what exactly is bubble season? The sky around the Abandoned District has been filled with bubbles, some of them large enough for Nikki to ride on! This event will take place in a new area of the game, called Serenity Island, which is a floating isle covered in pink gemstone and blossoming sunflowers.
As is typical, the new season of Infinity Nikki is coming with a ton of giveaways and free pulls. When you log in after the update, you’ll get 65 pulls immediately. Then, you can do the event quests for another 100 diamonds and participate in the other various quests and events throughout the season for a total of more than 4200 diamonds!
Unfortunately, that may not be enough to get through Infinity Nikki’s bubble season. Every single new Nikki outfit is absolutely gorgeous! The main attractions are the Sea of Stars, Snowy Ballad, and Crimson Feather, with all 3 outfits offering evolutions in a variety of colors. These outfits also come with special abilities that create opportunities for incredible photo shoots.
The Sea of Stars outfit goes along with yet another new area on the map: The Sea of Stars island. This pavilion-style location features a shining tower, beautiful flora, and plenty of places to take some great photos.
Two other outfits are also up for grabs through gacha pulls, though their abilities are less impressive. The Celestial Whispers and Rosie Reverie are fairly tame compared to the showy Sea of Stars, Snowy Ballad, and Crimson Feather outfits.
Those who aren’t interested in spending a ton of money on new outfits can still add to Nikki’s wardrobe during bubble season. The Honey Hunt, the Heartlake Ripples, and the Springbloom Enchantment outfits are all attainable by completing challenges and quests throughout Miraland and beyond. New challenges include the Cloudsea Realm, which has players navigating invisible walkways that appear as they approach, and Bubble Hopper, which is essentially identical to the Whimstar platforming challenges.
Players who do plan on making in-game purchases this season will be able to earn a bonus outfit, too: Bubble's Hometown. Plus, there are plenty of other outfits available in the store and as part of this season’s Heartfelt Gifts.
Even more exciting than new outfits is the newest companion: a panda NPC! One lucky player will name the character, as Paperback/Infold is holding a “#InfinityNikki Name the Panda Contest” until May 2. The winner will also receive a $100 Amazon gift card, so there’s likely to be plenty of competition.
There was also mention of a “DIY Workshop”, which seemed to suggest that you will be able to change the color of your outfits using a new dye system. Though, how it will work in tandem with evolutions is unclear.
For mobile players, the most important part of the update might not be entirely visible. After the 1.5 update, Infinity Nikki should run much, much smoother on phones like the iPhone 16 Pro, as things like lagging and crashes have (supposedly) been addressed. The graphics on older phones, like the iPhone 13, will now have greater detail and depth. Further, all compatible devices with less than 6GB of RAM will see a ton of optimization that improves the stability of the game.
However, by far the most notable part of Paperback's/Infold’s 1.5 update of Infinity Nikki is the addition of a co-op mode to the game. Now, players will be able to complete all kinds of activities hand-in-hand, literally! You can hold hands, explore, collect Whimstars and treasure, catch bugs and fish, and even transform into animals to hang out with your bestie.
While Papergames/Infold often releases a lot of content with Infinity Nikki updates, 1.5 is transforming the game, taking it to the next level by adding more customization, a co-op mode, and plenty of in-game giveaways to encourage new and returning players to login. Whether they play together or on their own, Infinity Nikki players will be busy for a while with this expansive update.
