The Garmin Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, Epix 2, Epix 2 Pro, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and MARQ Gen 2 smartwatches are currently receiving beta version 21.11. It arrives a few days after the previous beta release, version 21.10, which brought an Incident Detection-related bug fix.
The change log for beta version 21.11 lists five more bug fixes. The first relates to naps, which had been reported tp start without a nap timer. Garmin has tackled a problem where the Fenix 7 and related smartwatches would re-enter sleep mode after it was manually ended. Plus, the body battery and stress metrics glance history have returned, having previously disappeared.
For the Strength activity, Garmin has tackled a problem where the weight would change unexpectedly. On top of this, a bug which caused custom text responses to reset has been resolved. In a post on the Garmin forum, the company reminds users that this beta update will disable the ECG feature on compatible smartwatches.
Beta version 21.11 is rolling out over the air (OTA) and has already reached at least 50% of users. Alternatively, you can manually download the update by going to the Menu > System > Software Update > Check for Updates. It is unclear when the next stable update will roll out to all users of the Fenix 7 (Pro Solar Sapphire Carbon Gray smartwatch curr. $639 at Amazon) and related smartwatches.
