Garmin continues to gradually refine its v15.xx software experience for the Fenix 8 and associated smartwatches ahead of a future stable release. To recap, the company has been publilcy beta testing v15.xx builds since late March. While it delivered a fresh stable update last week, System Software 13.37 did not contain any of the new features, bug fixes or other general improvements found in recent v15.xx builds.
The release of a new beta update for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 suggests that Garmin is no closer to offering a v15.xx stable update either. Although the company has not publicly confirmed as much, the fact that Beta Version 15.26 has arrived with Aviation, Dive and ECG features disabled. In Garmin's words, 'ECG, Dive, and Aviation features will be made available again on versions of beta software that we anticipate becoming Live updates'.
Regardless, Beta Version 15.26 introduces voice command support for Applied Ballistics and Flying apps on the Tactix 8 (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon). The new update also brings another ten bug fixes to the party, with Garmin having already found 127 by Beta Version 15.25. On top of that, Garmin has upgraded Sensor Hub firmware from v34.10 to v34.12 too. The full changelog between Beta Versions v15.25 and v15.26 are as follows:
